Turner heeds call of the Hogs

LEPANTO, Ark. — It had been over nine months since A.J. Turner verbally committed to Arkansas, and during that time he had fielded innumerable phone calls from coaches and media wanting to know if his decision would stick. After months of recruiting-related stress, which included a late charge from Arkansas State, it was finally time for Turner to make a call of his own. He concluded Wednesday’s ceremonial signing by Calling the Hogs.

Rivercrest girls stay unbeaten in conference

MANILA, Ark. – The Rivercrest girls’ basketball team didn’t have its sight on an undefeated conference record when the season began, but it certainly does now. During Monday’s 66-52 road win over Manila, a fast start put the Lady Colts a game away from completing the 3A-3 conference sweep.
